Our commitment is to provide outstanding public service buildings, and to develop exemplar public/private partnerships based on trust and shared objectives.
We believe that too many of our public services are delivered from premises that are at best functional, and at worst unwelcoming, poorly designed and constructed, and unsuitable for modern health and social care. Too often they provide an unsatisfactory environment for staff, users and patients.
We further believe that well designed, sustainable buildings can make a real difference, and if design is aligned with the service aspirations of the public sector, can produce public service buildings which are a pleasure to work in and to use, and which can contribute to health and well being.
To achieve these aspirations, Building Better Health and our partners are committed to establishing real relationships of trust between the public and private sector. By bringing together the values of the public sector with the property expertise of Building Better Health, we aspire to combine the best of both worlds, and for that to be reflected in the quality of the buildings we produce together.
